You don't have to own property on Mississippi Lake to enjoy a wide variety of activities.
Boating is by far the most popular activity. But, year-around, lake residents and visitors "from away" enjoy all kinds of features of the lake, from swimming, bird watching, fishing, ice fishing hunting, etc.
Recreation
In the old days, fun on the lake included boarding a steamboat to take you from Carleton Place to Innisville. Alas, those days are gone, but nowadays a great variety of other activities are possible.
